Product Description

Salmo's Chubby Darter was introduced over 13 years ago yet remains the only vertical wobbler in the world. It has been featured by many media outlets as the most innovative lure design in years. The Chubby Darter CD3 is the 3.5 cm long variant of this lure.

It is primarily designed for ice fishing, working whether it is rising or falling. Trout, perch, crappie, walleye and pike are all attracted to the Chubby Darter. Anglers are discovering its usefulness in open water as well since it can be fished like any lipless crankbait except that it sinks much slower. This allows you to fish it above cover much easier while maintaining the same quivering action making the Chubby Darter a very unique lure that can do things no other lure in the world can do.

Control of this lure while ice fishing is achieved using the right set up. We recommend using a sensitive rod for use as a strike indicator along with as thin a line as you can find to get the most out of this lure and ultimately catch more fish.
